Wallace and Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl Teaser Trailer Arrives
Aardman Animations is one of the most beloved animation studios in the UK- if not the world. And among their characters there can be few as much loved as Wallace and Gromit. Fans have been eagerly awaiting their return since it was first announced that they would be making a return in a new film for Netflix and the BBC. They have been particularly excited since it emerged that Vengeance Most Fowl would see the return of the iconic villainous penguin Feathers McGraw from The Wrong Trousers.
Now, we finally get a first look at the 70-minute film through the first teaser trailer- and it brings with it a release date. The film will have its world premiere at the American Film Institute's AFI Fest on October 27 at the historic TCL Chinese Theatre. It will premiere in the UK on the BBC "over Christmas", before making its global debut on Netflix on January 3, 2025.
In Vengeance Most Fowl, Wallace invents a robotic Garden Gnome. When a spate of thefts from gardens hits the community, Wallace and his robot are the chief suspects. While Wallace protests his innocence, it's up to loyal pooch Gromit to clear his name and find out who is the mastermind behind the crimewave.
Who could it be but the evil chicken penguin Feathers McGraw, who is after vengeance against Wallace, and who has been behind bars since 1993's Oscar-winning short The Wrong Trousers.
The film will feature Ben Whitehead as Wallace (taking over from the late Peter Sallis), Peter Kay as Chief Inspector Macintosh -reprising his role from Curse Of The Were-Rabbit- and Lauren Patel (Everybody’s Talking About Jamie, Lloyd of the Flies). There are also cameos from Diane Morgan (Philomena Cunk, Afterlife), Adjoa Andoh (Bridgerton, Invictus), Muzz Khan (Brassic, Galavant) and Sir Lenny Henry (Three Little Birds, The Rings of Power), with more details on their roles to be revealed soon.
The film is directed by original Wallace and Gromit creator Nick Park and Merlin Crossingham, with the original story written by Nick Park and Mark Burton. The screenplay is written by Mark Burton and the producer is Richard Beek.
