Titmouse Presents 'The Best Of Five Second Day'

Over the past few years, Titmouse have become one of the leading 2D animation studios working in the United States. Working chiefly in adult animation their contributions to series like Big Mouth, The Legend Of Vox Machina, The Venture Bros, Star Trek: Lower Decks and Beavis And Butthead have won them much acclaim. Now, it has been announced that they are partnering with Cinemark, the American cinema chain to exclusively screen Titmouse's Best Of Five Second Day at venues across the country on September 20.  The screening will feature a compilation of some of the most popular, provocative and emotional creations from the studio's Five Second Day events.

Five Second Day is a special event where animators and creatives are allowed a day off from their usual work and are allowed to animate and create anything they like... as long as it's five seconds or more.

“‘Five Second Day’ started as a way for Titmouse artists to spend a day making a cartoon that they wanted to make,” said Chris Prynoski, co-founder and President of Titmouse. “Over the years, it has mutated into a magnificent, beautiful brain-beast that pulses with the creative energy emanating from the hands of these animators. It has its own life now, and we can’t keep it to ourselves anymore. Go out into the world, 5 Second Day, and fill the hearts and minds of animation fans around the nation with cartoon delight as they watch the action unfold on larger-than-life screens within Cinemark’s immersive, cinematic auditoriums.”

The screening will highlight over 35 shorts over the course of an hour, representing animation that spans the course of 16 years of Five Seconds Day events. Shorts come from filmmakers including Otto Tang, Allison Craig, and Parker Simmons.

Next year (2025) marks the 25th Anniversary of Titmouse, and this is just the beginning of how the studio plans on increasing its connection to fans. 5 Seconds Day were previously limited to small friends and family screenings, so this is the first time fans across the nation will be able to see this creativity unleashed.

Participating Cinemark theaters include locations in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and Washington.

Tickets are on sale via the Cinemark website or via the Cinemark App.
