Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero Game Trailer Arrives

Dragon Ball is not only huge in the world of manga and anime. It is also hugely popular in the world of video games. In fact, there have been Dragon Ball games almost as long as the franchise has existed, with the first games appearing back in the NES era. The newest game, Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero will be released on the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S/X and PC.

Like the majority of Dragon Ball games Sparking Zero! is a fighting game and is part of the Budokai Tenkaichi series. The game allows gamers to step into the shoes of various heroes and villains from the Dragon Ball Z animated series, and recreate sequences from the show.

The game will feature both the Android and Cell sagas from the anime. In the Android Arc, the evil scientist Dr Gero creates powerful androids that face off against the Z-Fighters. In the Cell arc, Goku and co face off against the powerful artificial life-form Cell in all his forms.

The trailer show cases some of the iconic clashes that defined the franchise. See (and fight) some of the series's most infamous villains including the likes of Mecha-Frieza, King Cold, Androids 17 and 18, all leading up to a climactic duel with Cell himself. Witness him in his first form, second form and ultimatley his perfect form, as Gohan fights to save the world.

Sparking! Zero is fully localised, and features the majority of the English voice-cast reprising their roles from the TV series and movies. And with the game hitting current generation consoles, this is the best you've ever seen a Dragon Ball game look, with some impressive cel-shaded graphics.

Dragon Ball Sparking! Zero will release on October 11 2024 for for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. For more information, visit the game's website.
