Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto Cross-Over Comic Announced
Cross-overs are a staple of the U.S. comic book industry. Whether they be team-ups or 'versus' titles, most major characters get their chance to cross over with characters from elsewhere. They range from the expected like X-Men meeting The Avengers to the more unexpected like Batman Vs Predator to the really out there like Archie meets Predator. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles have starred in several crossovers including those featuring Ghost Busters, Usagi Yojimbo and Batman- the latter of which has been turned into a DC Animated Movie. Now another TMNT crossover comic title has been announced- this time with an icon of manga.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto will feature a cross-over between the heroes in a half shell and the Masashi Kishimoto manga. The two brands have previously collaborated on merchandise.
The title is a collaboration between IDW Comics and Viz Media. The comic will be written by Caleb Goellner (Sonic the Hedgehog), Hendry Prasetya (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers) illustrates, Raúl Angulo is colouring, and Ed Dukeshire is lettering. The cover art for the first issue is by Prasetya and Jorge Jiménez. The first issue will ship on November 13, and the story will span four issues.

It’s the coolest ninja matchup you could have ever dreamed of, had you dared! The Heroes in a Half-Shell meet the host of the Nine-Tailed Fox in the crossover everyone will be talking about.
When teenage reporter April O’Neil has a clandestine meeting with Tsunade, the leader of the Hidden Leaf Village, it garners the attention of Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi. They aren’t the only ones who are wondering what the two women were discussing, though. The sinister Foot Clan have their own interest in April’s visit, as they think she might hold the valuable information on mutation research being conducted by the scientist Baxter Stockman. With April caught between the forces of the Hidden Leaf Village and the Foot Clan, it can’t be long before the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles show up to lend her a hand!
Working with acclaimed manga publisher Viz Entertainment, IDW is pulling together two of the most popular comics in the world to bring you the four-issue comic book event of 2024!

Naruto was originally created by Masashi Kishimoto and ran in Weekly Shonen Jump between 1999 and 2014. It spawned the original Naruto anime series and its sequel Naruto Shippuden, video games and movies and the follow-up manga and anime Boruto. A live-action movie is in development, but this is the first time Naruto has been adapted into a western comic.
