Annecy Festival Reveals Short Film and Student Film Selection
We're still a few months away from this year's edition of the world's largest animation festival. The Annecy International Animation Festival every year sees the cream of the global animation industry and its most enthusiastic fans descend on the picturesque French town. This year's event runs from June 9- 15, and this year will highlight Portuguese animation. Throughout March and April, the festival is revealing its official selection for this year. More than 2,600 films were submitted, representing a hundred countries. The Short films and Graduation (student) films have already been announced. The TV Films, VR Works and Feature Film selections will be revealed in April.
The official selection can be found below. The selection was made by a selection committee including artistic director Marcel Jean along with the Festival’s Films & Programme Planning team, Laurent Million, Yves Nougarède and Sébastien Sperer and this year's jury which includes Cécile Giraud, Marie-Pauline Mollaret, Maud Ahmadnia, Gala Frecon and Isabelle Vanini.
