EVANGELION:3.0+1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME Coming to 4K and Blu-Ray This October
Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the most iconic franchises in anime. Starting life as a 1995 TV series, it subsequently spanned manga, movies and a metric ton of merchandise. Most recently it was seen in the Renewal of Evangelion film series that told a fresh version of the story. The fourth and final part of the series EVANGELION:3.0+1.01 THRICE UPON A TIME will be making its debut on digital and home entertainment formats later this year. To celebrate the release, GKIDS Films will also be bringing the film back to select cinemas in the United States this autumn.
The film was released in Japanese cinemas in 2021 where it was a critical and box-office success, becoming the most successful film of the year with a take of over ¥10.28 billion ($85 million.)
The film is being released by GKIDS Films and Shout Studios in the US and by Anime Ltd. in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It will be released as a collector's edition 4K UHD and as a standard Blu-Ray edition and on digital in the US, and on 4K UHD, Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray Steelbook and DVD in the UK. The UK collector's edition is exclusive to AllTheAnime.com.
The collector's edition will include:

The 4th and final installment of Rebuild of EVANGELION. Misato and her anti-NERV group Wille arrive at Paris, a city now red from core-ization. Crew from the flagship Wunder land on a containment tower. They only have 720 seconds to restore the city. When a horde of NERV Evas appear, Mari’s improved Eva Unit 8 must intercept. Meanwhile, Shinji, Asuka, and Rei (Provisional Name) wander about Japan.
The standard Blu-Ray edition is a two-disc edition that includes both the film and a bonus disc of extras including EVANGELION:3.0(-46h), EVANGELION:3.0(-120min.), character promotion reels, stage greeting, trailers, and more.
The film will be released in the UK on October 30. In the US the film will be released on October 17, with the digital release on October 3. The digital version will be available both in subtitled and dubbed editions.
