Shout Factory Sign Distribution Deal With Aardman Animation
Aardman Animations are one of the world's most beloved animation studios. Based in Bristol, England they have been delighting audiences for more than 50 years. Ever since their distribution deal with DreamWorks Animation ended they have been looking for a suitable Stateside partner.
Now it seems they may have found them. Shout Factory, a leading multi-platform media company has signed a North American distribution deal with Aardman. The deal covers Shaun The Sheep, Wallace and Gromit, Morph and Timmy Time. The agreement gives Shout Factory exclusive physical home video EST and TVOD rights as well as limited theatrical rights for the United States and Canada.
Aardman have received seven Academy Award nominations and won four. Their feature films, short films and television series have won them fans around the world.
The deal was announced today by Melissa Boag, Shout’ Factory's Executive Vice President of Kids & Family, and Laura Taylor-Williams, Head of Digital & Strategic Development at Aardman.
