[Anime Expo] HIDIVE Reveal New Titles.
Anime Expo is drawing to a close for another year. The biggest event dedicated to Japanese animation takes place in Los Angeles every summer. Panels are held by all the big names in the industry. We've already covered Crunchyroll and Viz, now it is HIDIVE's turn.
Anime streaming service HIDIVE presented its highly anticipated industry panel. The panel was hosted by Star Butler and Jacki Jing (Netflix’s The Circle), who revealed three new titles as well as other news including upcoming Dubcast releases. As a special treat for attendees, the panel closed with the English subtitled premiere of the first episode of Level 1 Demon Lord and One Room Hero, a new comedy fantasy streaming on HIDIVE from July 3.
First up on the list is new acquisition The Dreaming Boy is a Realist, the eagerly anticipated rom-com from Pony Canyon. Based on the light novel series by Okemaru and illustrated by Saba Mizore, the series will stream exclusively on HIDIVE from July 3. The series is directed by Kazuomi Koga and written by Michiko Yokote with production by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ.
Next up HIDIVE announced it has acquired three returning shows. This included the surprise revelation that [Oshi No Ko] is returning for a second season. Also back for more episodes is spy thriller Spy Classroom and rom-com/slice-of life series The Dangers In My Heart, which will be available exclusively on HIDIVE as part of the summer and winter seasons respectively.
Additionally, HIDIVE also announced three series would be receiving English dubs. The Dangers In My Heart season 1 and Kaji: Ultimate Survivor Third Act will debut this summer, while season 2 of The Eminence in Shadow will arrive this autumn. The three series will join HIDIVE's ever-growing library of dubs, available alongside the original language subtitled editions. Eminence in Shadow S2 will be the first series in the site's history where the Dubcast version will be available at the same time as the subtitles simulcast.
Finally, HIDIVE unveiled a new clip of the new English dub of Keep Your Hands Off Eizouken! that will feature in the Blu-Ray release from Sentai Filmworks, due for release on July 25
