Scott Pilgrim Anime Bringing Back The Movie Cast
Way back in January 2022, we reported the exciting news that the comic book series Scott Pilgrim Vs The World was getting an anime series on Netflix. The six-volume series has previously been adapted into the cult 2010 Edgar Wright movie of the same name and the show has now officially been ordered to series
As previously announced the series is being co-produced and animated by Science Saru, the studio behind Devilman Crybaby, Ride You Wave and a contributor to Star Wars Visions. The series is being co-written and exectuve produced by the comic's original creator Bryan Lee O'Malley alongside BenDavid Grabinski. Abel Gongora is dirceting and Eunyoung Choi is producing. Edgar Wright is an Executive Producer alongisde his regular producing partner Nira Park.
The series follows twenty-something slacker and bassist Scott Pilgrim and his life in Toronto. When he falls in love with the enigmatic Ramona Flowers, he must defeat her seven Evil Exes in combat in order to win the right to date her.
It has now been revealed that the cast of the live-action film will be returning to reprise their on-screen roles. Confirmed are Michael Cera (Scott Pilgrim), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Ramona Flowers), Satya Bhabha (Matthew Patel), Kieran Culkin (Wallace Wells), Chris Evans (Lucas Lee), Anna Kendrick (Stacey Pilgrim), Brie Larson (Envy Adams), Alison Pill (Kim Pine), Aubrey Plaza (Julie Powers), Brandon Routh (Todd Ingram), Jason Schwartzman (Gideon Graves), Johnny Simmons (Young Neil), Mark Webber (Stephen Stills), Mae Whitman (Roxie), and Ellen Wong (Knives Chau). Additional cast will be revealed at a later date.

Anamanaguchi who composed music for the Scott Pilgim Vs The World video game will be creating original music for the series.
