Crunchyroll Anime Awards 2023 Nominees Announced

Crunchyroll have announced the nominees for the seventh Annual Crunchyroll Anime Awards. The awards are designed to recognise excellence in anime over the past year. And what makes these awards special is the fact that the winners are decided by the fans.

The nominees were determined by an expert panel and now voting is opening to users from over 200 countries and territories. The winners will be announced in the live-streamed ceremony that will take place on March 4 in Tokyo, Japan. The ceremony, will be opened by Kenichiro Yoshida, Chairman, President and CEO of Sony Group Corporation and hosted by voice actress Sally Amaki and entertainer Jon Kabira.

Nominees represent more than 30 anime studios, eight streaming platforms, over 50 anime series and films and more than 50 voice actors in nine languages.

Attack On Titan The Final Season Part 2, Cyberpunk Edgerunners, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba and Spy X Family are among those series which picked up multiple nominations including Anime Of The Year, Best Director and Best Animation.

Competing for the Best Film are Dragon Ball Super Hero, One Piece Film Red, Jujutsu Kaisen 0, The Deer King, Bubble and Inu-Oh.

Voting is now open through until Wednesday January 25th at 5 PM Pacific time. You can cast your votes via the dedicated website, or this year you can also vote for the Anime Of The Year category via Twitter- details here.
