Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal Returns For Season 2 This July
Genndy Tartakovsky is a genuine legend in animation. From Dexter's Lab to Samurai Jack and the Hotel Transylvania movies, he is responsible for some of the most unique works of the past few decades. Even amongst such a body of work, his series Primal is a stand-out. And the show is about to return to the airwaves for season 2.
Genndy Tartakovsky's Primal is an action series set in prehistoric times. Featuring almost no dialogue, the series features a human and dinosaur (Spear and Fang) who become unlikely allies. In the second season they travel to a new world on a mission to rescue Mira. There they find a place full of new dangers and savage brutality.
“Hard core, epic badassery is coming your way!” Tartakovsky said. “Season Two is amped up, and when it drops nothing will ever be the same.”
The first season screened to considerable acclaim in 2020, bagging numerous awards including several Emmys and two Annie Awards. It was also a hit with audiences, rising to become one of the top 10 most streamed Adult Swim shows on HBO Max.
Season 2 will debut on Adult Swim at Midnight on Thursday, July 21, before becoming available on HBO Max the next day.
