New Netflix Sizzle Reel Teases All The Animation They Haven't Cancelled Yet
The past couple of weeks have been rocky for Netflix, as news about subscriber numbers dropping and behind-the-scenes drama broke. Animation, in particular, was caught in the eye of the storm, as we learned of several major projects had been axed. The long-gestating adaptation of Jeff Smith's Bone comics, Lauren Faust's Toil and Trouble and Boons and Curses are among the animated series that are no longer in production. Is the honeymoon period finally over for Netflix and animation?
Perhaps coincidentally, or perhaps as a confirmation that they remain committed to animation, Netflix has debuted a new sizzle reel trailer via their After School channel.
Launching with the slogan "2022 is full of Animation", the video previews clips from animation both upcoming and already available. It features first looks at several forthcoming series including:
- Daniel Spellbound
- Dead End: Paranormal Park (Previously known as Deadendia)
- My Dad The Bounty Hunter
- Sonic Prime
- Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight
- Boss Baby: Back In The Crib
- My Little Pony: Make Your Mark
They have also confirmed several returning favourites including new episodes of The Cuphead Show, He-Man and The Masters Of The Universe, Jurassic Park: Camp Cretaceous and Shark Dog.
