Wolfwalkers Returning To US Cinemas From March 19

What better way to celebrate St Patrick's Day than with news of Ireland's most successful (non-Alcoholic) export, Cartoon Saloon? The Kilkenny-based studio is this week celebrating their fourth Oscar Nomination for Best Animated Feature for Tomm Moore and Ross Stewart's masterpiece Wolfwalkers.  Following the news, GKIDS Films- a co-producer and holder of the US theatrical rights- have announced that the film will be receiving an encore presentation on the big screen.

Wolfwalker's first theatrical run, in late 2020, was severely limited by circumstances beyond the distributor's control. Many, including audiences in New York and Los Angeles, were not able to see the film as cinemas were shuttered due to lockdown. Now that cinemas in New York have finally had the OK to reopen, Wolfwalkers will finally get to screen in GKIDS' home city.  

The film will open at NYC's Angelika Film Center on Friday, March 19. There will also be a special St Paddy's day preview in the same location on March 17. You can book tickets for any of the screenings here.
