Rick and Morty Season 4 Starts November: Watch The Trailer
"It's been far too long" starts the voice over in the new trailer for Rick and Morty Season 4. And fans of Dan Harmon and Justin Roliland's mega-hit animated sci-fi comedy series would have to agree on that. It's been more than two full years since the last episode aired (beating the 18 months between the last episodes of season 2 and the first of season 3). Our Rick and Morty drought is about to come to an end though, as the trailer reveals the show will return to Adult Swim US on November 10 at 11.30pm. In the UK the episodes will air on E4 and All4's Adult Swim channel, with a date to be confirmed.
The season premiere will be the first of five all-new episodes. "Half the season you deserve, all the season we could handle" according to the voice-over. This suggests that the latter half of the season will arrive at a later date (we'd guess sometime in 2020). This might well be the show's release structure from now on, as following the announcement that Adult Swim had ordered 70 new episodes of the show, Roiland and Harmon have promised that there wouldn't be any more long waits between seasons. Which makes sense, as Adult Swim surely want their biggest show on as often as possible.
The trailer is full of Rick and Morty adventures that could just as easily be throwaway gags as indicators of the main plots of upcoming episodes. But fans will definitely be excited that the trailer features the return of some old faces- Mr Meeseeks, Gearhead and fan favourite Mr Pooopybutthole.
