What do some of the best commercials have in common? You can take any product placement and narrow down the best ones to have either a catchy jingle or a short narrative that grabs you by the heart and doesn't let go.

This December 2018 commercial celebrating the 70th year Anniversary for Lotte (specifically its candy brand) has the distinction of having a catchy tune, heartwarming story and beautiful animation that you normally don't see in commercials like this.

What makes this commercial so special is while there is tons product placement the video comes off as more of a music video featuring the latest hit single of the Japanese band "Bump of Chicken." The animation itself was crafted by the talented artists over at Studio Bones with Your Name producer Genki Kawamura, giving this short piece a unique visual shine that you would typically see in a Makoto Shinkai film.

Much like the candy it was meant to advertise, this commercial is a sweet bit of animation to satisfy both anime and animation fans alike
