'Liz And The Blue Bird,' 'Megalobox' and 'Maquia' To Screen at LA Femme Festival
LA Femme International Film Festival is a Los Angeles based film festival which is dedicated to films created by women filmmakers and works "by women, for everyone". This year's 14th iteration of the festival will include three animated screenings. all from Japan.
Eleven Arts Anime Studio- who are also a festival sponsor- will be bringing two of their features to the festival. Liz And The Blue Bird, the new film from A Silent Voice director Naoko Yamada will be screening as part of the official selection. The film will screen at 12 PM on October 14, ahead of the film's official US November 9 release. Maquia: When The Promised Flower Blooms, the directorial debut of Mari Okada will have a special screening accompanied by a Q & A session featuring "Celebrities and Animation Executives". The film will screen at 6 PM on October 12 and will be in English dubbed format.

Director Mari Okada and director Naoko Yamada are incredible women whose work continues to shape the anime industry. Also on October 12 (from 4:30 PM), select episodes of the anime TV series Megalobox will also be screening. followed by a Q&A with producer Minako Fujiyoshi.
