Scotland Loves Anime Edinburgh Films Revealed
The full line-up for 2018's iteration of the Scotland Loves Anime film festival has now been revealed. Following the release of the Glasgow schedule last month, the Edinburgh leg has now also been announced.
The Edinburgh screenings will run from October 15-21 at Edinburgh Film House. Much of the line-up is the same as in Glasgow with Mamoru Hosoda's latest Mirai, Studio Colorido's Penguin Highway and I Want To Eat Your Pancreas all screening ahead of their general release. 90's Madhouse OAV Cybercity Oedo will also be getting a screening in Edinburgh
TV spin-offs My Hero Academia: The Two Heroes and Fate Stay Night Heaven's Feel will also be screening in both locations. Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt's first movie will screen in both cities, but the second movie will be screening only in Edinburgh.
Beyond that, there are a number of Edinburgh exclusive screenings and events. Alongside Mirai, Mamoru Hosoda's earlier films Summer Wars, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Wolf Children and The Boy And The Beast will all be screening.
Edinburgh will also host the UK premieres of Hakara San: Here Comes Miss Modern- Part One and the English dub of Maquia: When The Promised Flower Blooms, plus a producer Q & A screening of Polygon Picture's BLAME!
Calamity Of A Zombie Girl, a "schlocky horror" ONA (Original Net Animation) from Studio GONZO will be getting a big screen outing at the fest.
Finally, there will also be a rare chance to catch Production IG's alternate-history sci-fi Jin Roh: The Wolf Brigade.
