Animation for Adults Heads to Columbus, Ohio for Wizard World Comic Con (2018)

Buckle your seat belts and strap in for excitement. For the first time ever, Animation for Adults will be covering the Wizard World Comic Con expo in Columbus, OH, USA. Since 2013, AFA has participated in a variety of special events including the GKIDS Studio Ghibli Film Festival, Otakon and Animation Nights New York. Now, it’s off to the Buckeye State for one of the biggest gatherings of famous faces and super nerds on this side of the Rockies.

For over ten years, Wizard World has been providing some of the coolest fan conventions in the United States, and the 2018 gathering in Columbus, Ohio will be nothing short of amazing. Be prepared to see your favorite superheroes, antiheroes, assassins, wizards, and world-builders all under one gigantic roof. Some truly incredible character designers, comic book artists, and storytelling masters are waiting to share their stories at Artist’s Alley. Inspiring cosplay contests and video game huddles add to the excitement of this legendary event.

Animation for Adults USA editor Rachael Ward has also shown her enthusiasm for the event: “Comic Conventions come in all shapes and sizes, but at their heart, they are a meeting places for the pop culture community. Sharing interests, creations, and ideas. What makes Wizard World a particularly unique entity, however, is how they are taking the convention platform to a new level with their recent Pitchfest program. Offering attendees and exhibitors an opportunity to pitch original ideas for films to Colombia Pictures Industries. Continuing to build on crafting a dialogue between the film industry and the people that support it.”

And it looks like this relationship only continues to grow stronger, thanks to special gatherings like this. Stop by the Greater Columbus Convention Center in the heart of Ohio’s beautiful capital to be part of something truly incredible.
