Star Wars 'Forces Of Destiny' Trailer Arrives
The Star Wars franchise's return to 2D animation will spotlight the adventures of Rey, Leia, Jyn Erso and several of the universe's most popular female characters. Forces Of Destiny's debut is just around the corner, launching on YouTube on July 3, 2017. And we now have a trailer so we can have an even better idea of what to expect.
The preview shows these beloved characters in action-packed sequences, but also in quieter character moments- also giving us our first chance to hear the voice performances. Daisy Ridley, Felicity Jones, Lupita Nyong'o and Ashley Eckstein are among those who will be reprising their roles for the new 2-3 minute shorts.
The trailer is packed with the Star Wars characters, locations and imagery that fans love. Storm Troopers, Bounty Hunters, light sabers R2D2, BB8, even Ewoks.. it's all here. And what's more, it's pretty awesome to see the franchise's women take center stage. While the animation itself may not be quite up to that in the old Genndy Tartakovsky Clone Wars shorts, it's still got a pretty irresistible style of its own.
The series will debut on Disney's Official YouTube channel, before screening on The Disney Channel in the US on July 9. Check the trailer out for yourself below.
