'Voltron : Legendary Defender' Season 2 Trailer Arrives
The first season of Voltron: Legendary Defender surprised many with how legitimately good it turned out to be. Season 2 is now just weeks away and a brand new trailer has debuted online.
DreamWorks Animation's contemporary reboot of the original 80s sci-fi series quickly became a favourite with fans when it first arrived on Netflix last summer. Since then they have been clamouring for more episodes, and they are at last set to arrive on January 20th.
The latest trailer promises.. pretty much more of the same, basically. More sci-fi action, more comedy and fun character dynamics and it will continue to have some of the best-looking animation out there, courtesy of Legend Of Korra/Avatar producers Studio Mir. But it also promises "New Worlds, New Allies and New Villains".
The reboot was devised by Korra veterans Joaquim Dos Santos and Lauren Montgomery, and chiefly written by Tim Hedrick. The voice cast features Steven Yeun, Kimberly Brooks, Tyler Labine, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Josh Keaton and Jeremy Shada.
Much like the first season, season 2 will consist of eleven episodes- suggesting that this was effectively a single standard-length season cut in half. Based on the reception the first half got, however, we'd be very surprised if further seasons weren't already in the works.
