Nick Park's 'Early Man' Teaser Trailer Arrives
Recently Aardman Animations has been looking back, as the studio celebrated 40 years in the biz. Now though, it's time for them to take a look forward as multiple Oscar-winner Nick Park's next movie has officially entered production. To mark the occasion the first teaser has been released.
It's been a long wait for stop-motion lovers, as this will be Park's first feature since 2005's Wallace and Gromit And The Curse Of The Were-Rabbit. In the meantime, he has directed another Wallace and Gromit short and produced a number of other Aardman features including last year's Shaun the Sheep Movie, but he hasn't returned to feature directing until now.
Early Man is a prehistoric tale of a young caveman named Dug (voiced by Eddie Redmayne) who unites his tribe against a team of fearsome enemies called The Bronze Age. The twist is that their battle will take the form of the very first game of football (or soccer for our US readers). The film is due in 2018 (which is, not coincidentally, the year of the next World Cup).
The teaser is very short and won't give anything away about the finished film, but it's still great to see the characters in motion that we've only previously seen in stills. And more than anything, it's just fantastic to see Nick Park back. We can't wait! Check out the short but sweet clip below!
