'Behind The Voice Actors' Anime Awards Winners Announced
Behind The Voice Actors (BTVA) is a site and community dedicated to recognising the sterling work put in by professional voice actors, the talented folk who play a crucial part in bringing your favourite animation and games to life. The BTVA Anime Awards are handed out each year in recognition for the best performances in the field of English-language dubs of anime specifically, with awards given based on both staff selection and public vote.
The BTVA Anime Awards 2015 have now been revealed, covering the best performances of last year. Voice actor of the year went to Christopher Sabat voice of both Vegeta and Piccolo in Dragon Ball Z Resurrection F and Zoro in One Piece, among many other roles. Sabat won both Staff selection and people's choice awards. Best actress meanwhile staff choice went to Lindsay Seidel (Assassination Classroom, Psycho-Pass 2) with Jamie Marchi (Death Parade, Tokyo Ghoul) picking up people's choice.
Breakthrough actress (both staff and fan pick) went to Brianna Knickerbocker (Durarara!! x2). Breakthrough actor staff pick went to Ricco Fajardo (Gangsta), with the public vote going to Max Mittelman (Aldnoah.Zero).
