Web Animation Watch: Beat Down 2, Simon's Cat and more

Christmas is coming (I don't know if you've heard). So the second episode of the ace Beat Down: Aliens and Rap Battles, has a distinctly festive flavour.  You can nearly taste the eggnog! What we said about the first episode stands- with (jingle) bells on. This is brilliantly animated, very funny and the production values mean this is some of the best web animation we've seen.  Written by Mr Weebl and Eddie Bowley and animated by Kreid.

Animation Domination Hi-Def's anime style series Schoolgirl Crush is pretty damn great. Somewhere between parody and affectionate tribute, it's clear this is one spoof that's coming from a place of love. Which is pretty appropriate, as lady-love is an important part of the plot. The 3rd episode is titled the The Demiurge Appears. There's another 2 episodes on the way too, apparently. Excellent news!







More festive-themed fun, this time from Simon's Cat, as the cheeky kitty frolics in the snow. And you know just how cute and funny that's going to be...



For a much darker take on the Holiday season (but still very funny) check out this short Holicraze. Made by Graham Annable (aka Grickle) it sees a family terrorised by a turkey.
