Now In US Cinemas: 'Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet'
Animation fans in the US and Canada are spoilt this weekend- not only is Aaardman's Shaun The Sheep now playing, but the eagerly awaited The Prophet is also opening in New York and LA. We've been watching this one with some interest, as the Roger Allers (The Lion King) overseen project features segments based on Gibran's poems, each directed by a different acclaimed animation director, including Song Of The Sea's Tomm Moore, Sita Sings The Blues' Nina Paley and Cheatin's Bill Plympton.
As with previous GKIDS releases, it's opening in NYC and LA first before opening wider over the course of the next few weeks. The film will expand to further markets from August 14th and then open in further locations in August and early September.
