Web Animation Watch: Space Cat Hob, n00bs and more

Advances in technology and the spread of the internet has made it easier than ever for animators to get their stuff out there. This also means it's easier than ever for the good stuff to get lost in the crowd. How do you know what's worth watching? That's where we come in! Welcome back to Web Animation Watch.

The internet loves space. And the internet really loves cats. So what could be better than an astronaut cat? How about a tiny astronaut cat exploring an unknown landscape? That's what you'll get in French short Space Cat Hob, a collaborative project produced over the course of two years. It's really well done and super imaginative. Tres Bien!





New from our pals at Mashed is the first hilarious part of n00bs from tea&cheese, following the adventures of video game characters outside of their game habitat. Very funny, but definitely NSFW.

What if Doctor Who was an animated series? If it looked anything like this fan version by Stephen Byrne, we'd watch it, that's for sure!



Finally, this short Payback Time, was produced to introduce the UK's first Stand Up To Cancer event, due to air on Channel 4. A brilliantly done film with a real twist in the tale, it really is superb.
