Web Animation Watch: Simon's Cat Update and Jellybug: Weebl's New Channel For Kids Launches.

Advances in technology and the spread of the internet has made it easier than ever for animators to get their stuff out there. This also means it's easier than ever for the good stuff to get lost in the crowd. How do you know what's worth watching? That's where we come in! Welcome back to Web Animation Watch.

A new episode of Simon's Cat is always a cause for celebration. So, we're happy to report internet animation's favourite feline is back on fine form in "Hot Water". In the latest episode, the titular moggie goes in search of food to find his owner in the shower... with predictably hilarious results.



We'll take this opportunity to give another plug to the Simon's Cat Indie GoGo campaign! There is a week to go left on the campaign, and they've reached 84% funding at the time of writing. So, if you want to see the first full colour Simon's Cat episode, don't forget to get involved!



Meanwhile, this week a new project from Weebl has launched. Jelly Bug is a new Youtube channel from the web animation maestro designed for younger viewers. It's a great idea- stuff on their main channel might be appealing to youngsters but can sometimes be somewhat unsuitable. The channel will feature both new content specially designed for kids, and more kid-friendly shorts from the main Weebl's Stuff Channel.
