This September sees the 40th anniversary of one of North America's longest established animation festivals, the
Ottawa International Animation Festival. Ahead of this year's event, the line-up of animated features screening in competition has just been announced.
Competing for the Grand Prize this year:
Louise En Hiver- a French 2D feature from past grand prize winner
Jean-Francois Laguionie,
Anne Marie Fleming's crowdfunded curiosity
Window Horses, and Canadian CG family film
La Guerre des Tuques (aka
Snowtime) from
Jean-François Pouliot and
François Brisson.

Penny Lane, dark Word War 1 set tale
Cafard;
Titmouse Animation's adult feature
Nerdland and the fascinating sounding Spanish feature

The 2016 festival runs between September 21st and 25th, and to celebrate the festival's
landmark 40th year, will be screening every past Grand Prize winner, spread across 6 different showcase events. OIAF will, as always also feature various programs of shorts, screenings, workshops and other animation events.
